Sukhjit Taggar, RMT

Since he was younger, Sukhjit has always enjoyed physical activities. During high school, he played a lot of sports until he injured himself. Out of High school, Sukhjit became involved in the trades where he began as a construction laborer and later on opening his own real estate photography as an drone expert for 3 years. He knew he enjoyed the physical aspect of being a drone expert but couldn’t see himself being passionate about that career path in the future. It was after he tore his hamstring in a track & field event that he was introduced to massage therapy. He was instantly intrigued by the profession and surprised by how beneficial it was in his hamstring recovery. Eventually, he decided to follow his interest and went to school at Vancouver Career College where he completed the 88-week program and later would pass his CMTBC board exams.

My treatment philosophy revolves around applying a complete approach to tackling the health issues of each individual that I work with. By listening closely, assessing with detail, and treating with care and purpose, I work hard to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each and every one of my clients to ultimately get them back to doing the things that bring them joy in life. My passion lies in empowering my clients to take control of their health again and giving them the tools and education to take on any physical challenge they encounter.

During my career as a physiotherapist and kinesiologist, I have been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of client populations, all the way from professional athletes to weekend warriors, and hiking superstars to gardening aficionados. Furthermore, I have been exposed to treatment techniques with neurological clients including stroke, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. By using a combination of manual therapy, IMS and movement re-education techniques, we will ultimately work together towards getting you moving better, stronger, and longer when you’re doing what you love.

I just moved into the neighbourhood, but have been visiting family and friends in South Surrey for several years now. My wife and I loved the area so much, that we have decided to stop visiting and make the move permanent to begin our new family together. We love being out for walks on all the nearby trails with our young daughters, enjoying the ocean at Crescent Beach, and spending time browsing at the local food markets for delicious ingredients to cook. If you know any good trails nearby, let me know!
